We offer rooms and breakfast. We do NOT have a restaurant, although there is a good offer in the area. The mill has been mentioned in documents since the Middle Ages, and obtains its motive power from the waters of the TORMO river. The present three-storey building preserves on the ground floor the three millstones and gears made of wood and cast iron, as well as the iron wheel from the early 1800s. On the upper floors, which were once used as granaries for the surrounding farmsteads, are exhibits of everyday farming life. Due to numerous extensions, the walls of the imposing 18th-century building incorporate the earlier 15th-century ones. Inside, 13 18th-century granite pillars support the first two floors, while four large arches form a 19th-century addition to the inner courtyard. The land and buildings, formerly owned by the Marquises Trivulzio, passed into the hands of the Duchess of Galliera in 1876 and upon her death she donated them to the hospital of Genoa, to be then purchased, for the right of first refusal, by the tenants. The Zanaboni family has been cultivating them since 1968. The bed and breakfast activity, started in 2008, has been the driving force behind other initiatives for the enhancement of the agricultural context and the farm buildings, which, restored, have led to the opening of the farmhouse with bed and breakfast service. The old rural dwellings of the Bastia farmstead have been entirely renovated, combining respect for the materials and building techniques of the past (wood, brick, stone) with modern concepts of energy saving and the use of renewable energy sources. The rooms have air conditioning and are furnished with period furniture.
