WE ARE A FEW METRES FROM THE CERTOSA DI PAVIA (14th cent.). Over the centuries, the Certosa di Pavia was an obligatory passage and home to rulers and knights. In 1525 it was the scene of the historic Battle of Pavia between the French army of King Francis I of France and the Spanish army of King Charles V of Spain. A bloody battle that ended with the capture of the King of France, changing the fate of Europe - Today, lovers of history and art come from all over the world to visit what is considered the most beautiful Charterhouse in the world. WE ARE 5 KM FROM PAVIA (Where every place is a story). Founded by the Romans under the name of Ticinum in 89 B.C. to whom we owe the layout of the city that has remained intact to this day. It then became the capital of the Longobard Kingdom from 625 to 774 and was the most important centre of Longobard culture.
