EL CAVAJER derives from a word in the Piedmont dialect that in Italian means "the knight"! The agriturismo is dedicated to GILETTA Giuseppe, known here as "el cavajer Notu" (Giuseppe's nickname in the Piedmont dialect). Since the 19th century, our ancestors have undertaken agricultural activities here (near the Po River, with views of Monviso), raising cattle for the production of "High Quality Milk" and cultivating stable meadows, forage crops, and cereal crops.
The farmhouse "el cavajer" is located in a calm landed area, in proximity of manifold natural beauties and interesting sites: the Monviso mountain, the source of the Po river, the Monbracco or mountain of Leonardo, and many architectural and historic areas: the Staffarda’ s abbey (proximate near to farmhouse), Revello town, historical city of Saluzzo, the castles of Manta and Lagnasco towns, the Royal Holiday Residence of the ultimate King of Italy in Racconigi, and it constitutes an optimal point of departure for visits, excursions and many activities to the discovery of the South Piedmont (Langhe and Roero Wine lands, Turin, Alba, Cherasco, several proposals of summer touring - winter sport and activities). The structure is the ideal to sojou in relax, so on the inside as in the courtyard and in the external gardens. Four rooms (double – also single use, 3-4 beds) all equipped with bathroom en suite / TV / hairdryer, in total 12 beds. Living room comfortable with possibility of cooking. In the external area there’s the barbecue, usable for cooking grilled in summer. Opened all the year.
