The ANTICO PODERE PROPANO country hotel was originally a vast agricultural property donated in 1525 by the Marquis of Saluzzo Michele Antonio to the Cistercian monks of Monbracco Abbey. In 2006, on the occasion of the Turin Olympics, part of the building was transformed into a charming and highly suggestive hotel with rooms that recreate the atmosphere of a large country house. The hotel is located a 10-minute walk from the centre of Saluzzo, in the green countryside, with the imposing peak of Monviso in the background, where the Po has its source. The quietness of the old places with the original materials such as terracotta tiles, stone pillars and brick ceiling, combined with the comfort of today with modern furnishings, bar, internet access and Wi Fi, characterise the reception. Breakfast is served in the large room where, around the large fireplace, the domestic life of the farmers took place. In fine weather, breakfast is served outdoors in the large courtyard. On the ground floor overlooking the inner courtyard and with its own entrance, there is a large hall that can be used as a conference room, business meetings, team building courses and also as a restaurant for groups. The outdoor garden and farmyard can be used as a location for large events and ceremonies.
