Chieti: the old part of the city has a very old heritage of civic and religious monuments and stately palaces. These include:
- the cathedral of San Giustino, built on the ruins of a pagan temple and first rebuilt in the 9th century. Inside, the church has a nave and two aisles, a dome and a transept. Next to it stands the bell tower, dating from 1337;
