The Agriturismo is located under the slope of easte side of Majella’s mountain, in the middle of National Park, being therefore an ideal startpoint for excursions along the several tracks of the Park. The farmhouse is about 30 Km from the Maielletta, where in winter at more than 2000 meters of altitude, there are wonderful amazingly covered in snow ski slopes. Besides, we are about 30 km far from Adriatic coast, where you can find sandy beaches such as Casalbordino, Lido delle Morge, Vasto, Francavilla and so on. The building, built in the 50’ and recently reorganized, consists of a downstairs, where there are the kitchen, the food court with 50 seats, a big wood porch which in summer becomes a food court, and outside, there’s a garden with a playground. Upstairs you can find the rooms, a small kitchen at disposal of the guests, a common hall with fireplace and a reading corner (with books and brochure you can use to programme your holiday) and a large balcony facing Majella’s Mountain. Outside not far from the farmhouse, there are also a five-a-side pitch and a tennis court, a table tennis, a pinball game, bicycles and the new swimming pool. The farming of Agriturismo L 'Uliveto takes place on 10 hectares of land. Olive trees are the main resource, from which to produce an excellent olive oil and brine olives. Besides there are cereal and fodder farming for breeding of animals such as cows, which give good milk used for the breakfast or to produce cheese, calfs, chicken, rabbits, sheep and suines, the meat of which is cooked and served at the food court. Into the farmhouse there are 9 double rooms for overall 18+7 bed places, in 4 rooms it’s possible to add a pullout bed and in 2 rooms we can add 2 more little beds. One room is equipped for disabled persons, with easy access. Seven rooms are provided with personal bathrooms bagno and two rooms make use of a common bathroom (rooms Cluviae). We grant daily reorganization and cleaning of the rooms, and bed linen change every 3 days.. On your disposal there are two big halls, one of which provided with fireplace and private kitchen and connected with three rooms where you can organize parties or holidays with friends autonomously, in the nature at the layer of the mountain. The dinner is served at the food court or, in summer, under the porch near the garden. The meals are typical of Abruzzo.

A distanza di circa un anno siamo ritornati all'agriturismo L'Uliveto di Palombaro (frazione Limiti) in provincia di Chieti. Stavolta, però, eravano in nove (con l'aggiunta di due coppie di amici). Eravamo certi che non li avremmo delusi e così è stato. Qui hanno trovato il giusto relax, aria pulita e una ottima cucina (semplicementi splendidi gli arrosticini di pecora, gustosissimi salumi, superlativi l'arrosto di agnello, il coniglio e il pollo al coppo, tagliolini con funghi e tartufo, ...). Il contesto pedemontano offre piacevoli escursioni (senza pericoli) e cittadine ricche di storia e di arte (Guardiagrele, Chieti, Lanciano, ...). Ottimo il rapporto qualità/prezzo (gestione familiare), tanta disponibilità e tanti consigli. Un ringraziamento di cuore a Filippo e Piero anche per l'aiuto offertoci a seguito del guasto dell'auto!
