It is the ideal place if you are looking for relaxation, nature and good food; you will find dishes from the Lucanian tradition, products from the farm and from bread-making and cheese-making activities. The hills and stretches of meadows surrounding the facility make the environment ideal for long walks in complete tranquility. For the little ones there is the possibility of visiting the farm, watching the preparation of bread and cheeses and enjoying a large open space to play in the green. For a complete experience you can stay in the rooms and organize a visit to the village, one of the most evocative in Lucania, or explore natural attractions such as the Cascate di San Fele or the Grotte di Pertosa. In summer it is possible to dine outdoors in a magical atmosphere, attend musical and entertainment events and end the evening with a taste of the locally produced trigna liqueur, the guests' favorite! The Agriturismo represents the ideal location where you can taste specialties and typical dishes of the area prepared by expert agri-chefs with absolutely genuine ingredients and faithfully following the true traditional recipes. The land surrounding the farm is used for raising animals and for growing the vegetables used in the preparation of the dishes; all the products you will be able to taste at the restaurant come exclusively from crops that are certified and controlled in order to guarantee you the highest level of genuineness and naturalness.
We are happy to be able to host you at our facility. In total we have seven rooms available: one quadruple and six doubles, each with private bathroom and WiFi connection. The rooms are surrounded by greenery, the windows frame the landscape beauties and from some it is possible to glimpse the pastures, a sight much appreciated by the little ones. Breakfast, among the most pleasant moments of the stay, is made of freshly baked cakes, tarts with jam or with ricotta, biscuits made on the farm and fresh goat milk. Mid-morning Anna bakes her traditional red pizza with oregano and cheese, impossible to leave the Agriturismo without having tried it!

Our Agriturismo La Bontà enjoys a strategic location in the Marmo Platano area of northwestern Basilicata, right on the border with Campania, offering our guests easy access to the countless historical, natural and scientific treasures this region has to offer. Just a short drive away lies Muro Lucano, home to the National Archaeological Museum and a town steeped in history and local traditions. For those passionate about history and archaeology, the nearby village of Baragiano boasts the Archeoparco del Basileus, while astronomy enthusiasts will find the Toppo di Castelgrande Astronomical Observatory not far from us. If hiking is your passion, you can explore the spectacular waterfalls of San Fele or venture into the caves of Pertosa. For those seeking adventure and thrills, don't miss the Volo dell'Angelo near Castelmezzano or the Ponte alla Luna in Sasso di Castalda.
