At 537 meters above sea level, on the slopes of Monte Calimaro, in Contrada Massadita di sopra: from here, the view extends all the way down to the Gulf of Policastro. We are on the Calabrian side of Pollino National Park, halfway between Aieta and Tortora.

The rooms are housed in three buildings that were once part of the farmstead: a farmhouse, a hay barn, and a stable. The property still raises traditional farm animals—poultry, goats, sheep, and pigs—allowed to grow at their own natural pace.

The beaches of the Upper Tyrrhenian Coast—Scalea, San Nicola Arcella, Praia a Mare, Tortora—are all within 20 km. Maratea is nearby too. Closer still are the Lao River with the Riparo del Romito, Laino Borgo, and Laino Castello.
