Dr Vincenza Mendicino's Mendicino farmhouse is a place to spend a day or your holiday immersed in the lush green foliage of olive trees and in total tranquillity to enjoy the flavours of the table diligently prepared in the simplest and most traditional way. Surrounded by greenery, it boasts a peaceful and evocative landscape where the green of the hillside merges with the immense blue of the Tyrrhenian Sea during the day, while at dusk you can enjoy magnificent sunsets accompanied by the twinkling lights of the Gulf of S. Eufemia that accompany the nights in the enchantment of the full moon. Here you will be welcomed into a family environment that gives you the opportunity to spend pleasant days savouring the flavours of the local tradition and enjoying complete relaxation. The farm is located in Falerna in the province of Catanzaro among the olive groves, vineyards and orchards (figs, plums, etc.). In addition to being a place for pleasant stays, walks in the green and convivial meetings, the Mendicino farmhouse offers its guests the opportunity to get to know the various activities that take place in the countryside, such as: picking figs, vegetables, the grape harvest and during the olive harvest sessions to taste the new oil, experiences for adults and children who, these things, have perhaps only seen in photographs or on television. On the farm you will find a restaurant room, six rooms with related services for a total of ten beds with the possibility of additional beds. The dishes are typical local and regional ones. The products are grown or bred in a totally natural way. You can choose from many dishes prepared with imagination by the two older sisters, Lina and Natalina, who, in addition to the work of business organisation carried out with the rest of the family, invest the role of self-taught cooks with great enthusiasm, carrying on the traditions of a cuisine handed down from their grandmothers and succeeding in transmitting to all their guests the pleasure of good food and good wine. The Mendicino agriturismo is in a strategic position, 5 km from the beach, 8 km from the motorway exit, 12 km from Lamezia Terme airport and the railway station.
