Our area is situated in a mountainous part of the campania region, whwre the “irpini”,(word derived from latin: hirpus=wolf), combactive people, reigned uncontested over also those people were so jealous of their own identity, that they were opposed to be annexed to the roman empire. Therefore, we have innumerable historical and artistic testimonies of those traces. First of all the irpino museum, which gathers a large part of provincial archeological finds from the old neolithic age to the iron age and bronze age. Places to visit are: the dome of avellino, the clock tower, the ex bourbon prison, the bellerofronte’s fountain, the longobard castle, the victor hugo mansions, the loreto’s abbey, the sanctuary of montevergine. Irpinia is not only art but landscape. This area has such remarkable extents of thick woods that it deserves the appellative “green irpinia”. This provinces is the wine-cellar of campania, because it produces choise wine, famous all over the world such as: fiano di avellino, taurasi, greco di tufo. In our farm-holiday we produce grapes and organize wine tasting with professional sommelier wich explane the three phases of the analysis. We also organize drived visits to the best cellar of campania. Naturally, these special wines match gastronomy of same quality, that use our own products. The typical irpinia cousine dishes are: new fresh home-made pasta, a lot of vegetable dishes (minestra maritata, il mallone, stewed broccoli (sprout) with kippered herring ecc)as meat dishes we offer. Mugliatielli, scannatura e pupacchie, piglet with chestnuts ecc. Typical sweets are made with hazel-nuts, chestnuts and with liqueurs made with walnuts, chestnuts, strawberries and mandarin-flovoured.
