The Forgione agriturismo is located in a very quiet position in Rocca San Felice, in the heart of the high Irpinia. At our agriturismo it is possible to get an up-close look at peasant life, watch the milking and the traditional processing of Carmasciano cheese, taste freshly made ricotta, discover the traditions and the nature that surrounds us, offering an ideal environment for those seeking peace and tranquillity. The agriturismo draws on experience gained in the agricultural field, specialised above all in the production of Carmasciano. The Forgione company comes from a family that for four generations has always dedicated itself, with love and passion, to the breeding and processing of sheep's milk, always preserving the ancient dairy tradition that has been handed down over the years from generation to generation. These products are the foundation of an excellent cuisine that respects local tradition. Our agriturismo is located a few kilometres from the town centre of Rocca San Felice, an ancient medieval village that has preserved the characteristic layout of a medieval settlement, with narrow alleys and low houses with walls in local stone adorned with the typical "romanelle". The agriturismo offers a striking panoramic view of the Campanian Apennines, with the Cervialto mountains, Monte Terminio and Monte Raiamagra (beneath which lies Laceno). Our agriturismo has 3 warm and welcoming rooms, finely furnished. Each of them has its own private bathroom, decorated in a different and distinctive way. Some have a balcony and/or an external veranda. The rooms are equipped with every comfort; wifi internet is available throughout the facility. Each room has plenty of light and a wonderful view over the Ufita valley or the Ansanto valley. Many of the products we produce on the farm are the basis of our cuisine, both for breakfast and for lunch or dinner. An excellent lunch or dinner with typical products of our land, accompanied by a good glass of Irpinian wine. Buffet breakfast with jams made from our own fruit. It is also possible to start the day with Carmasciano ricotta soup. The large and bright dining room is furnished in wood, where a fireplace is a must for the coldest winter days. In summer, on the other hand, it is possible to eat outdoors in the garden, accessible directly from the dining room.
