Hikes along the Apennine Tosco-Emiliano (hills dividing Tuscany from Emilia-Romagna) allow to discover this characteristic landscape. Nearby there is the gorgeous National Park of the “Foreste Casentinesi, Monte Falterona, Campigna” Nearby there are fascinating small towns, with their intact ancient flavor, such as Brisighella. The sea side resorts are only 1 hour drive from Settimano, and Ravenna, with its Romanic churches full of Byzantine mosaics, is only about 30 miles far. Within an hour drive you can reach the city of Bologna.
