At Ca' del Buco, in Montepastore di Monte San Pietro, Paola cultivates chestnuts, marrons, hard varieties, cherries, figs and seasonal vegetables using organic methods. There is no reception desk: you might arrive and find people out in the fields. The farm is home to chickens, goats, donkeys, geese and sheep; Paola herself accompanies guests to meet them. The rooms have private bathrooms, and the kitchen is available for those who wish to prepare their own meals, in the large hall or in the beautifully restored old barn. It is an educational farm, offering workshops and nature trails for schools and families. No restaurant service is provided. From October to November, chestnuts and marrons from the chestnut grove are sold, and roasted chestnuts are also available on Saturdays and Sundays. From the organic marrons, Paola also produces flour ground by stone and dried over wood for 45 days.
