On the Pianale plateau, above Sassello, the farm adjoining the farmhouse raises Cabannina breed dairy cows, Belgian hare rabbits, laying hens and bees, and cultivates lavender, corn and forage crops. Minimal mechanization, animals raised according to welfare standards. Guests can visit the barn, the apiary, the rabbit enclosures and the vegetable garden. The same products end up in the kitchen: milk, eggs, honey, vegetables. The last kilometer of the road is unpaved but passable by most vehicles. From the rooms and restaurant, views extend to the Alpi Marittime; at night, free from artificial lights, the sky fills with stars. The Via Bella trail runs nearby, connecting La Maddalena to Prato Vallarino, perfect for e-biking or motorcycling too. A 45-minute drive reaches the beaches of Varazze and the Albissole, and the vineyards of Piedmont's Langhe region.
