Agriturismo Il Medeghino is located in Musso, on one of the quietest stretches of the upper Lake Como shoreline, set between the historic village and the woods of the pre-Alpine valleys.

What was once a family home has been transformed into a small country retreat with a handful of carefully designed rooms, each with a private entrance, terrace or outdoor sitting area, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, fridge, kettle and a bathroom with a spacious shower.

The large garden with outdoor swimming pool, sun terrace and wooden sauna invites guests to slow down, read in the shade and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the lake.

Mornings start with a generous buffet breakfast featuring products from the farm and local specialties, and can then continue with a dip in the pool, a stroll down to the centre of Musso or a bike ride along the lake.

Il Medeghino is also a working farm: olive groves and beehives in the upper Lake Como area produce D.O.P. Laghi Lombardi Lario extra virgin olive oil and organic honeys that reflect the aromas of the surrounding woods.

On request, tastings of oil, honey and other typical products are organised, often combined with stories about the area and the historical figure whose nickname “Medeghino” inspired the agriturismo’s name.

From the property, walking paths quickly lead to panoramic mule tracks, forests and alpine pastures. Hikers and cyclists can join guided trekking or bike excursions, or follow the GPS tracks provided by the agriturismo to discover the villages and viewpoints of the upper Lake Como at their own pace.
