The agriturismo "La Grotta dei Folletti" is in the municipality of Mercatello sul Metauro (PU), Orange Flag of the Touring Club and Blue Flag for the quality of inland waters. At an altitude of 700 metres, Umbria and Tuscany are just a stone's throw away. The small hamlet on which the agriturismo stands dates back to the 1600s and is built of pietra serena stone. The completely restored buildings are complemented by two gardens one enclosed with children's games and a swimming pool that creates a private and safe area; the other, more discreet and ideal for relaxing and reading. Bring your pets, they are allowed. We ask you to arrive at the facility with your dogs on a leash, to have full control of them and to handle them with respect. We can accommodate you in both rooms and flats. Free Wi-Fi Internet service is available in all areas of the agriturismo. Two rooms have a fireplace, independent entrance, bathroom and heating, one is equipped for the disabled. In all there is a double bed, stereo for music and it is possible to add one or two single beds. Five rooms, on the other hand, are inspired by the four elements: Water, Air, Fire, Earth and one to the only olive tree in our municipality. The themes were obtained with frescoes or photos on several walls and using ad hoc materials and colours. All to make the world of elves even more magical. In all of them there is a double bed, and it is possible to add single beds or camp beds. The dishes we offer you are rigorously prepared by us with food from our own farm which is organic or purchased from our neighbours, handmade pasta with organic flours and home-made eggs, roasts and cakes cooked in the old wood-burning oven. In order to give you the best quality and freshness of the food, we only work by reservation. We have various bottled wines typical of the area such as vino santo and vino di visciole di S. Angelo in Vado from the La Montata winery, with which we collaborate and where visits and tastings are possible. The restaurant is open all year round for guests living on the farm as well as for other guests. We have three rooms, one of which has an old fireplace. Maximum room capacity 70 covers, in the summer outside cool dinners and beautiful evenings.

We seek to bring our territory to life, accompanying you in the search for truffles, in the breeding of Marchigiana cattle, in the world of bees, wildlife spotting of ungulates. Furthermore it is possible to do sport climbing indoors or outdoors on the beautiful walls of Monte Nerone at Rio Freddo.
