The Vagone masseria has, since its origins, been owned by the Capitanio family; in fact, it is thanks to Piero Capitanio that, during the 20th century, the masseria continued to be preserved in its original state. Restoration work, which brought the masseria to its current state, began in 1995 and was aimed at preserving both the materials and the pre-existing, original architecture.
