Staying at our farmhouse nestled in the hills of Ficarra, you
Our father, Giuseppe Piccolo, descends from the Piccolo Lancia di Branciforte, heirs of Antoninella Lancia, daughter of Baron Girolamo Lancia Branciforte and granddaughter of Blasco Lancia. Her son, Giacinto Piccolo, built the Church of Grenne in 1576, dedicating it to Saint Rosalia, whose relics remain in our family's care. Here lives and works our mother, Francesca Artale Piccolo, noble by birth and spirit, the heart of our farm. A descendant of the Artale family, known for physicians, scholars, and statesmen since Italy’s first legislature, she is also niece of Baron Milio Ficarra, former mayor. With grace and determination, she turned her heritage into an innovative project blending hospitality, culture, and agriculture—a true legacy of living tradition.

Since 1994, we have been a farm with a touristic vocation, founded when our parents, deeply in love with the land and well known for their hospitality, decided to follow their dream of living in the countryside and making it productive. Today, with the same passion and with professional skills gained in other fields, we – their children – manage the estate together with our mother, the true heart of the farm, offering our guests a magical and authentic stay. Our farmhouse, dating back to the late 1400s, is nestled in a Mediterranean garden at 200 meters above sea level, in a sunny, panoramic location. We welcome guests in 6 cool and quiet rooms, each with a private bathroom and no TV, to encourage genuine relaxation. From May 2nd to November 2nd, our guests can enjoy the pool. In winter, the fireplace, pool table, table football and a small library create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our Sicilian cuisine is a point of pride, based on organic produce from our garden and local farms, in line with our “Zero-Kilometer Sustainability” project. The highlight of every meal is our “Desiderio” EVO oil, made from the native Minuta di Naso olive. The farm is home to a variety of small animals: sheep, goats, lambs, chickens, turkeys, geese, rabbits, turtles, and quails. We offer Sicilian cooking classes and workshops on wild herbs. Our little church dedicated to Saint Rosalia makes the perfect setting for weddings, baptisms, birthdays, and anniversaries. Pets are welcome, and free parking is available. We offer B&B, half board, and full board, with total flexibility: each morning at breakfast, guests can decide whether they’d like to stay for lunch or dinner by letting our staff know.
