The Feudo Vagliasindi Rural Tourism Company is located in Contrada Feudo S. Anastasia, on the outskirts of Randazzo, the town closest to the central crater of Etna. Set between the two natural parks of Etna and the Nebrodi (the largest in Sicily) and bordering on the Alcantara River nature reserve, the ancient noble residence was built at the beginning of the 20th century on a pre-existing building, dating back to the 19th century, which, with its monumental millstone, was the heart of a flourishing agricultural activity. Originally, in fact, the sixty-hectare farm was concerned with the cultivation of mulberry trees for silkworm production, devoting itself only at a later period to vines, given the particular vocation of its land. It is only a few hundred metres from an important archaeological site, where masonry works and objects dating back to the Greek, Roman and Byzantine civilisations have been found.
