Fattoria Isola is located 500 meters from the medieval village of Laterina, in the heart of Tuscany. The farm covers more than 200 hectares and offers accommodations in 7 apartments renovated and elegantly furnished, offering the opportunity to live in the quiet of the countryside and visit well-known cities of Tuscany such as Florence, Arezzo, Siena and Cortona. The Farm in the past belonged to the Grand Duke of Tuscany, is an ancient farm consisting of a seventeenth-century villa surrounded by a park with old and rare plants, a private chapel and still used especially during the month of May. The estate has a beautiful natural shooting reserve with pheasants, hares, partridges, deers, wild boars and deers. The 7 apartments divided into 2 structures have been renovated (in 2000) according to the Tuscan style, elegantly furnished with great care, even with real antiques and contemporary art and equipped with satellite television and WIFI. Each apartment has a private outdoor area with table and chairs. The apartment typ E is ideal for a handicaped person with a special bathroom as Italian law requires. The resort has a large swimming pool (14 meters by 7 meters with roman steps, open from 30.05 to 30.09 approximately) surrounded by a large green space with gazebos, beach chairs and umbrellas. The farm produces red Chianti wine, extra virgin olive oil, corn, wheat, sunflower and tobacco. You can buy the products directly in the company. Various activities, are proposed such as football or volleyball, mountain biking or horseriding (lessons or excurison), hiking, table tennis and tennis (500 meters). A barbecue is available to all guests. The family is almost always present and willing to give advice on sightseeing, restaurants and trattorias of the place. In fact, the area offers a good choice of restaurants and trattorias of excellent quality at reasonable prices. The property is also a great starting point to discover the famous art city of Arezzo (15 km), Siena (50 km), Florence (50 km) Cortona (35 km) and Rome (200 km, with 1h.20m the train from Arezzo), but also the most hidden and undiscovered areas of Tuscany.
