Nine apartments within a renovated farmhouse in Crespina Lorenzana, near Pisa. Paola and Nicolò manage the property. Accommodations range from Ginestra, sleeping four with a dining area, to Melograno, more intimate with an iron veranda on the first floor, through to the two-room Ginepro sleeping five. Wi-Fi, air conditioning and satellite TV in all apartments; check-in from 4pm to 7pm.
The swimming pool, two connected basins of 70 and 170 centimetres, is reserved for guests. Next to it stands a centuries-old cork oak, beneath which you can rest in the shade during the hottest hours. No breakfast at the property, but the baker comes by in the morning, and Wednesday evenings bring the pizza van. From here you can set out by bike or on foot to explore the hills, or head to Florence, Lucca and San Gimignano, all reachable in a day trip.
