In 1998, Maria Angela and her husband took over I Moricci, an ancient farmstead in the hills of Peccioli that belonged to the Rosselmini-Ricciardi family in the nineteenth century. They converted the land to organic farming and opened five apartments, each with a kitchen and two bedrooms. From the windows, you can see the vineyards and olive groves that surround the house.
They produce three Sangiovese wines in a small cellar and extra virgin olive oil using the Coi method. The owner manages the property with discretion: she is present when needed, otherwise guests enjoy the space as if it were their own. There is a swimming pool and plenty of greenery around, and the location makes it easy to reach Volterra, San Gimignano and the villages of Val di Cecina. Dogs are welcome.
