Guests can stay in completely renovated rural buildings carefully furnished in traditional Tuscan style with "arte povera" furniture and wrought iron, equipped with individual heating, satellite TV, air conditioning and private area. “il poggetto” is a farm estate located in the heart of tuscany, in a hilly and panoramic area, only a few kilometres from san gimignano with other old medieval towns a short distance away. The estate is an ideal base to plan trips and excursions in the numerous resorts rich in art and history like certaldo, montaione, monteriggioni, colle val d`elsa, volterra, florence and sienna. This small farm offers the ideal setting for a relaxing holiday in the sienese hills, surrounded by chianti vineyards (with controlled and guaranteed denomination of origin), old olive groves, age-old oak trees, woods and farmyard animals.
San Gimignano: km 6 - Time 10' Medieval city with magnificent 13 towers. The city of Etruscan origin stands out on a hill of 334 metres with its numerous towers, (72 in the thirteenth century) equal to the number of wealthy families, to show with their height their own economic power. Around the tenth century the city takes the name of the Holy Bishop of Modena San Gimignano who would have saved the village from barbaric hordes.
