Description La Tinaia

La Tinaia is an old country house immersed in a landscape of great natural and aesthetic value, with olive groves, vineyards and woods. The property is situated in the hills south-west of Florence and is 10 km from the centre and 5 km from the stop of the T1 tram line, which takes 18 minutes to the centre of Florence. It is an ideal base for day trips to Florence and the most beautiful places in Tuscany.

We rent 4 very comfortable and cosy flats, furnished with care and all with a well-equipped kitchen. The architecture is typical of Tuscan rural houses with large windows and splendid views.

We are a couple who chose to leave Florence many years ago and start a different life in this beautiful countryside. From 2000 to 2024 we took care of the agricultural production of wine and oil in our farmhouse La Tinaia. Now we only take care of the tourist business.

Spending a holiday at La Tinaia means relaxing and recharging your batteries immersed in the beauty of nature, in a friendly but discreet atmosphere, and discovering the artistic and natural treasures of Tuscany.

Access to the property is by a convenient road. Our area offers numerous CAI (Club Alpini Italiano) trekking routes to be taken on foot or by mountain bike. Guests have use of the large garden and large shared areas for eating, relaxing and sunbathing and a beautiful swimming pool with a view of the hills.
A good restaurant serving Tuscan cuisine (Ristorante Fiore) is a five-minute walk away and typical trattorias and inns can be found within a few minutes' drive.

There are 4 carefully decorated flats in the Tuscan style. They all enjoy beautiful views of the countryside, have beds that are conducive to sleep and good quality linen. Wi-Fi connection throughout the house.
Description of flats :

Bosco 68 sqm and Cipressi 65 sqm : located on the top floor, they each have a large living room-kitchen, two double bedrooms, a bathroom with shower, air conditioning. Washing machine in common use.

Erica 55 sqm and Ginestra 56 sqm : located on the ground floor, they each have a very large living room-kitchen, a double bedroom, double sofa bed in the living room, a bathroom with shower, ceiling fans, They are cool in summer. They have a dishwasher and washing machine.

The price includes: bed, bathroom and kitchen linen, pool towels, air conditioning, wi-fi, parking and final cleaning. There are no other charges.

Services Holiday Home

11 x 5.50 metre pool with a panoramic view of the hills. We take care of the cleaning and sanitising of the water in the pool and adjacent areas on a daily basis.

We offer a welcome drink to all guests.
Linen change and mid-week cleaning, upon request, for an additional fee.
We are available to guide guests in discovering our region and help them in case of need.

Surroundings (Scandicci)

We are 20 minutes (10 km) from Florence, which can be reached by tram on the T1 line from Scandicci, a 10-minute drive from the agriturismo. Parking is free and the tram passes every 5 minutes. Ideal for day trips to the cradle of the Renaissance, a Unesco heritage site.
Agriturismo La Tinaia is located on the hills of Scandicci, 300 metres above sea level, in an area of great natural and scenic value surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and woods. The area has numerous CAI trekking routes and a museum park with sculptures by contemporary artists (poggio Valicaia).
25 km Golf club Bellosguardo in Vinci, 8 km Tennis in Scandicci, 9 km Riding centre in Cerbaia.
La Tinaia is an excellent starting point for discovering the most fascinating places in Tuscany. In 30-40 minutes you can reach Vinci (city of Leonardo), Certaldo, San Donato in Poggio, Barberino Val d'Elsa and in less than an hour San Gimignano (Unesco heritage site), Siena, Pisa, Lucca and the Chianti Classico area. The sea is an hour away.
In our small hamlet of Santa Maria a Marciola, a 5-minute walk away, there is a typical restaurant Ristorante Fiore. A few minutes away are trattorias, inns and pizzerias.
