The castle is situated on the summit of a hill 440 metres above sea level in the commune of gualdo cattaneo, in the heart of the umbrian region of italy. It also lies on the border with the commune of deruta, which is famous for its potteries and ceramics. At the entrance to the castle there is a small piazza with two churches and three houses. The castle has been sympathetically restored into 11 self-catering one and two bedroom apartments with garden/terrace/balcony and all having magnificent views. The area is peaceful and quiet and is an ideal place to relax and enjoy the countryside, with panoramic views over the surrounding woods and olive groves.
