The farmhouse “Poggio del Sole” is so called thanks to its sunny position among uncontaminated hills, sourrounded by cofields, sunflowerfields, woods and green valleys.The old farmhouse, now completely restored, offers customers a homely atmosphere, and is always ready to welcome those who need to relax.Five wide double rooms, all ensuite finely furnished and with a fine view are available. One or two extra beds may be added, if necessary.Moreover, it is possible to rent a small cottage close to the main building, with air conditioning, private garden, kitchen corner, barbecue, and a verandah with a magnificent panoramic view.

Services Farm-house

While staying at the farmhouse Poggio del Sole, besides making wonderful walks in the countryside, you can play beach-volley and table tennis. A swimming pool is also available for our guests. Not far from the resort you will find the right places to practise archery, clay-pigeon shooting and fishing. The ancient “Parco della Fonte delle Terme di San Gemini” (the SanGemini spa) is just 2 miles away from the farmhouse: it is possible to play tennis and golf there.

Gourmets will enjoy all the best products of Umbrian traditional cuisine: home made past, charcoal grilled meat, season vegetables... all enriched with the house extra-virgin olive oil and a genuine wine.

Surroundings (San Gemini)

Poggio del Sole, with Carsulae, the ancient Roman town, and the breathtaking Cascata delle Marmore (Marmore Falls) within easy reach, makes also a good base for visiting Umbria, a region rich in natural beauties, archeological sites and works of art. Not only the “Parco della Fonte Termale” (the park of the spa), the GeoLab (earth science museum) and the foresta fossile di Dunarobba (fossile forest) are among the nearest attractions to the Poggio del Sole, but also all the most important cities of art of central Italy are not far away: Assisi, Todi, Orvieto, Spoleto, Foligno, Amelia, Narni, Perugia, Rome and Florence.
