Tenuta Civrana is located in the countryside of the lower Venetian plain, in the municipality of Pegolotte di Cona.It is an agricultural complex reclaimed from the marshes of the Cavarzerano, drained around the 1930s. It extends over 365 hectares and one of its peculiarities is the environmental diversity it presents. Indeed, alongside the cultivated areas we find natural habitats such as lowland forests and wetlands, which perform an important phytodepuration function as well as presenting important environments for flora and fauna.These two components in turn serve as environmental indicators. Species that have become rare, such as the European pond turtle (Emys orbicularis), find here ample spaces suited to their development, underlining the quality of the water flowing through the drainage ditches and used for irrigation of the crops.And it is in this setting that Tenuta Civrana cultivates its horticultural crops, thus managing to offer its customers products of indisputable quality, among which radicchio stands out.
