Our farmhouse is immersed in an olive grove of about 5 hectares that surrounds the farmhouse and allows for moments of tranquillity in the sun and suggestive walks in contact with unspoilt and protected nature. It is ideal for groups of friends who want to spend days together in a house that provides comfort and family warmth, and offers the possibility for everyone to personalise their stay: from excursions in contact with nature, to cultural-artistic outings, bicycle rides, the discovery of typical products, or reading a book under the shade of an oak tree with only the company of birds and a few shy hedgehogs passing by. Families with children will find a house designed to be cosy yet well-equipped and the serenity of contact with an unspoilt and respected nature. The altitude of 400 metres will help you rest well and for a long time, and your stay will be brightened by unexpected encounters with wild animals. A regular guest at our farmhouse is a barn owl! Balsorano is located 85 km from the city of L'Aquila. Our village and valley were not affected by the earthquake that destroyed L'Aquila. The seismic swarm in our valley is not felt. The heart of the farm is an early twentieth-century farmhouse outside the town, consisting of a single farmhouse with a large farmyard (100 square metres), with rooms for hospitality and tool shelter. Surrounded by meadows and olive groves, the Antica Tenuta farmhouse was lovingly restored in 1998 in full respect of its original style and consists of two independent flats equipped with every comfort (crockery, cooker, fridge, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, sheets and blankets, towels) but without a landline. The Antica Tenuta farmhouse has a large car park, tables, chairs and umbrellas for each flat, barbecue, children's games, and table tennis; the large farmyard is available to guests for cheerful barbecues in company. Accommodation (flats): 2 flats with independent entrance. A minimum stay of 2 nights is required. Agriturismo Antica Tenuta is a real "terrace" from which you can enjoy a 360° panorama, sweeping from the mountains to the hills and the countryside, and is in a particularly favourable position for those wishing to explore the wonders of the Zompo dello Schioppo Natural Park, the thermal springs of Canistro's oligomineral waters, or the Sorgenti della Sponga, or the ancient villages, rich in ancient art treasures.
