Lo Gnomo B&B is a unique place of its kind, rural and refined, characterized by Maiella live rock and stones walls. It is furnished by wrought iron beds, handmade potteries and old tables. Besides a large hall, there are four different bedrooms, with private bathroom. The B&B is bo of renovation of an old house in old town and it is combination of today’s comforts with beauty of old houses.

Surroundings (Pennapiedimonte)

Pennapiedimonte was called “Abruzzo’s Balcony” by Ettore Moschio, famous poet and writer from L’Aquila during twenty ages. During twenty ages, Ettore Moschio, famous poet and writer from L’Aquila, called Pennapiedimonte “Balcony of Abruzzo” for the geographic position and for many terraces and houses that look like real hanging buildings because they were built right up the edge of the rocky cliff on which the town is situated. Pennapiedimonte was a country composed of masons and stone masons, artists of stone. They extracted raw material for their job from the mountain. They have a very strong personality, we would say “made of ste stuff”, they were able to obtain their country from stones through the strenght of their arms, their mules and a deep sense of willpower left by they ancestors.
