Sandra and Mauro run a charming agritourism in the green heart of Abruzzo, between the Adriatic Sea with its blue flags and the Majella National Park (the only mountain in Europe where you can ski while looking at the sea); a small hotel in the open countryside, nestled on the left bank of the Foro river. It is an oasis for families who want to live according to the seasonal rhythms of nature and its products, but with all the possibilities of tourism concentrated within a few kilometres, from skiing to the sea, from golf to excursions along the paths of hermitages and antiquities, and then all the localities of the nearby regions of Umbria, Lazio, Marche, Molise, Campania and Puglia, reachable in a day trip. The sun, the air, the finest water in Italy flowing from the nearby springs of the Apennines, the landscape of the fields, the tranquillity to restore body and spirit: all within the small treasure chest of "La Capezzagna". "La Capezzagna" stands on a hill called Taraborrelli, owned by Sandra's grandparents and great-grandparents. At the beginning of the 1900s, they purchased the property from a Mr. Marcone, who had attached to the estate a tower, the tallest in the valley, a small manor house that in 1943/4, during wartime events, was blown up with seven mines. The structure can accommodate a maximum of ten people in three independent units with their own entrance. The building is very simple, on two levels: the ground floor is dedicated to agritourism hospitality, the first floor is the owners' private residence. All suites are equipped with personal hygiene necessities, bathroom linen changed every 2 days and bed linen changed every 4 days; television and fan available on request. All units have heating, independent room and bathroom safety switches, and a first aid kit. Upon arrival, guests find mineral water and a welcome chocolate in their room, along with a small selection of brochures about Abruzzo. Upon departure, we give our guests a complimentary bottle of wine or a packaged farm product.
