Il Casale delle Arance is a farmhouse that bases its experience on a biological farming system. It rises up in a natural area, a WWF Oasis, and it is completely surrounded by orange groves, olive trees and forest green. Il Casale delle Arance offers comfortable and spacious rooms and apartments. All of them have air conditioning, private bathroom, mini fridge and Satellite TV. Two large inside dining halls, an outside panoramic veranda, the restaurant specialized in traditional Calabrian cooking, the wood stove for pizza and the large swimming pool located in the garden put the finishing touches to the farmhouse.
Il Casale delle Arance is located in Pizzo, a nice small town characterized by terraces overlooking the sea, one of the most beautiful touristic location of the so called Coast of Gods famous for its blue waters and suggestive beaches. Pizzo is known also for: - Castello di Murat is a castle built in the 15th century by Ferdinand I of Aragon, is an imposing fort that overlooks the main square in Pizzo and was witness to the execution of the King of Naples, Napoleon Bonaparte’s brother-in-law, Jacques Murat; - The Chiesetta of Piedigrotta is a little church which dates back to the 16th century and is a cave dug out of a soft rock in a bank facing right out to sea, was created in gratitude by shipwrecked sailors who had been saved from a storm. The interior is ornamented with statues carved from the rock. The church represents the highest expression of the poor art in Calabria; - The Piazza della Repubblica, is the main square of Pizzo.
