The history of the Podere Pernice farmhouse dates back to the 1950s when farmers from different Italian regions were assigned farmhouses and land to cultivate. Each farm was given a name that recalled agriculture or nature or, as in this case, an animal, the Partridge, in honour of the hunter grandfather. The Podere pernice has therefore rediscovered the original name in the memories of the elders, emphasising the farming characteristics that have over time transformed the Maremma territory from hostile and austere to productive and welcoming. The family vegetable garden offers genuine and tasty seasonal products such as melons, asparagus, wine and oil. The aromatic plants, representing the Mediterranean maquis, can be used to make barbecued meat tastier, to be cooked outdoors on lovely spring and summer evenings. Agriturismo Podere Pernice allows you to take pleasant, peaceful walks in the woods on the farm's grounds, a stone's throw from the sea. Agriturismo Podere Pernice consists of flats with one or two bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom and large veranda. Each flat is equipped with air conditioning, washing machine, and all kitchen utensils. Outside, each flat is equipped with tables, chairs, deckchairs and a barbecue. The price of the stay includes the costs of water, electricity, gas, linen and a cot for a baby. The location is also favourable for spending a pleasant weekend, as it is easily accessible from Rome and Viterbo. It is only 2.5 km from the uncontaminated sea of the Maremma Laziale and a few metres from the village of Pescia Romana.
