Podere dell'Arco, located in the heart of the luxuriant Viterbo countryside, chooses the harmony and beauty of nature for a hospitality capable of creating those special wellness sensations. The ancient farmhouse dates back to the 15th century and is said to have been the home of a small community of friars for a long time. The history of the building originates from the religious tradition of those places, usual destinations of Christian pilgrimage. Here you can find hospitality and comfort and it is the ideal place both for those who want to relax and for those who want to observe closely a landscape made of colours, scents, sensations and tradition. Ours is a family-run business and covers 30 hectares cultivated with fodder, olive groves and a part planted with lavender and small fruits. The ancient frateria overlooks one of Viterbo's typical panoramas of a thousand shades of green, a starting point for interesting paths to be followed on foot and by mountain bike. We carried out a meticulous restoration, consolidating, cleaning and restoring, so that the character and flavour of the place would remain intact. The reception area has been created in the old stable, and has been restored in an absolutely conservative manner; in fact, you can still admire the splendid peperino manger and on the stone wall the rings to which the cows were tied. Our structure offers hospitality in the 7 self-catering flats that are all different in structure and furnishings and are equipped with all comforts. The furniture is antique, the fixtures and doors rebuilt by expert hands on the original period model, the upholstery combined with the trimmings lend elegance and warmth to the rooms. We have chosen high quality mattresses that guarantee the true well-being of sleep; both in summer and winter the temperature will be optimal thanks to the air-conditioners (autonomous system). Embroidered percale sheets and goose down duvets will make your rest truly special. A short walk along Strada Signorino and you will be on red earth ready for a set, or you can take riding lessons in our Horse Club. Our swimming pool is equipped with a whirlpool area where you can choose to lie down or remain comfortably seated. The pool garden can also be used in autumn, when the warm sun will warm your moments of relaxation, perhaps with a good book.
