The holiday farm of “Poggio san Giacomo”is the name of the locality that one finds in Umbria near the historic old towns of Orvieto and Civitella del Lago, a name coming from lake Corbara, which surrounds the little village, and that is much admired from the accomodation. One finds it in the “Parco fluviale del Tevere” (Tiber river Park), so, therefore there 's the possibility of walking natural footpaths. There 's the possibility of having a guide. A few kilometres away there 's the oasis of Alviano, a place of protected acquatic fauna e flora. All around one is surrounded by a beautiful natural turistic area in which one finds in the vicinity cities of notable artistic & historical interest, eg. Orvieto, Perugia, Viterbo, Todi, Assisi, Spoleto, Norcia, Lago di Bolsena etc. The agricultural side at the holiday farm comprises of about 6 ha that produces grapes for making D. O. C. Orvieto classic wine, olives and fruit. The main building has been restored while retaining the characteristics of the old building, ceilings with chestnut beams, handmade stone tiled floors, and at the same time the living quarters have every comfort. There are three flats, Grechetto: comprising a living room with a cooking area, 1 bedroom, bathroom, Verdello: comprising a living room with a cooking area, 2 bedroom, bathroom, Trebbiano: comprising of a kitchen, living room, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathroom deriving from the name of the three types of grapes. All flats provided are maintained in the rustic style, the curtains, the bedcovers & the towels are in keeping with authentic home spun copies of the style of Domenica & Assunta, made of linen and hemp of first years of the 19 hundreds. Each flat has a place outside with tables, chairs & umbrella e barbecue.
