The Prandi family consigns to its guests the rooms of an ancient Gonzaga court that preserves the flavour and soul of the past even in the smallest details. Grandparents and uncles lived here, carrying on the work of the fields, which even the latest generation of Prandi family members continues to honour. But the work has many facets: Pierangelo (the father) and Giangiacomo (the son) have personally overseen the restoration of the buildings, turning from time to time into bricklayers, blacksmiths, carpenters... Thus the ancient floors, original doorposts, plasterwork and fireplaces have been saved. Giulia, the architect sister who is passionate about design, has made her contribution with important structural suggestions, but also in the furnishing solutions. Mamma Raffaella acts as 'domina' but also as a pragmatic and attentive razdora who knows how to govern duck hens and squawking geese.
Four suites, one of which, the most spacious, created in the spaces of the ancient granary, offer every comfort, in an atmosphere full of taste, elegance and relaxation. Each one bears the name of owners and sharecroppers who inhabited its rooms and who with their originality marked the history of the court in the last century. On the first floor, the spacious bedroom with fireplace welcomes a double bed. The painted ceiling bears traces of a late sixteenth-century fresco. The terracotta floor is also original from the late sixteenth century. The modern bathroom with shower and iron sink overlooks the surrounding countryside. TV and free wi-fi in the room. The rooms are available all week, breakfast included!
