The Agriturismo Serpanera is situated on a hill overlooking the medieval village of Sarnano, at the base of Monti Azzurri and near the National Park of the Sibillini Mountains on the border between Marche and Abruzzo regions. The landscape in summer embraces the green hills and in winter the surroundings covered with snow, while in the background stand out Sarnano and other ancient villages. The entire region, especially in the nearby towns of Macerata and Ascoli Piceno, is rich in history and atmosphere of remote times. The Agriturismo Serpanera is the result of the renovation of three 17th century farm houses. These are based in the centre of about 10 hectares property covered by orchards and vineyards (completely organic) as well as large tracts of woodland. All guests can enjoy various services such as swimming pool, horse riding and trekking routes. By renovating the Agriturismo Serpanera, apartments and rooms have been created with respect to the ancient structures and maintaining the environment in harmony with nature, allowing nevertheless a high degree of comfort. In the main building you can find the dining room and the panoramic viewpoint where it is possible to enjoy breakfast prepared only with natural and local products, as well as the sitting room for relaxing, reading and watching TV. The whole Agriturismo Serpanera uses environmentally friendly structures that include solar and photovoltaic panels. At the centre of the estate is an ancient spring, which is a useful source for watering. A large car park is also available. The Agriturismo Serpanera gardens spread over several levels and are decorated with flowers and plants typical of the region. The Agriturismo Serpanera is 25 min drive from the ski slopes of Sassotetto and 50 min from the Adriatic Sea (Civitanova Marche and Porto San Giorgio). The area of Macerata/Piceno offers fantastic opportunities for lovers of good food as well as local wine and oil tasting.
