At Cascina Beneficio in Castelnuovo Bormida, the breeding of American bison is one of the few in Italy. They coexist with fallow deer, ostriches, llamas, alpacas and Tibetan goats, roaming freely within their enclosures while visitors walk among them.
The kitchen features products made on the farm: cinta senese meat, bison meat, vegetables from the orchard, flour ground in a small on-site mill. For overnight stays, there are two double bedrooms, each with a kitchenette and external veranda.
They also cultivate over 150 varieties of chili peppers, which are transformed into creams, sauces and spicy condiments sold online as well. A nursery dedicated to Hoya plants, with over 400 species, completes the farm's activities.
