Description Barba Gust
Is an old typical building of the 18th century, renewed by the Bermond in the original style. Only 9 rooms furnished essentially but functionally for the comfort of the guests. The restaurant has been adapted where originally was the stable and offers various menus, mainly in local recipes, first quality only. Barba Gust, in our dialect means a uncle taste and, more than being a mix of tastes and nice holidays, offers an incredible panorama to Chabert on mountain.
In our dialect, Barba Gust means uncle taste and is the piedmontese transation of the italian name Augusto as well. In other words, Mr Augusto Bermond, patriarch of the family who is still a hard worker in the structure, looking after animals and cultivating.
As we said before, where once was the stable, in the restaurant we serve always various menus in connection with local and typical tastes of the ancient inhabitants of the mountains, with ingredients always coming from our kitchen garden. Once more, we will bewitch you, making your stay unforgettable.
Our rooms are a place of certain refinement and simple at the same time. That is how you will find the 9 Barba Gust is rooms. Ancient furniture style, but revised with mode eyes. Bath and W.C. in every room. Rooms are located where at the beginning of the 20th century was the hay loft, where a lot of hay was stocked for winter coming. Now, after an accurate restyling, our rooms seem a warm refuse where spending relaxing pauses after a long skiing day, in winter time. In summer time, you can’t miss the beautiful cascades of flowers from the balcony.
