The Terre di Traiano farm is situated along the Via Appia Traiana, at the heart of an area of great environmental, historical and cultural significance. Perched on one of the first foothills of the Murgia, the large farmhouse overlooks the farm’s estates and the landscape stretching from the Adriatic Sea to the foothills of the Apennines. The limestone soils are home to olive trees of the prized ‘Coratina’ variety, from which an excellent extra virgin olive oil is produced, as well as vineyards of native grape varieties, which yield generous ‘Castel del Monte’ DOC wines, alongside fruit, vegetables and local specialities for guests. Terre di Traiano is the ideal place to relive atmospheres now long lost and to appreciate aromas and flavours that are otherwise impossible to find. From the early hours of the morning, the generous native grape variety ‘Nero di Troia’ is harvested; with a sugar content of 21 degrees, it produces a wine of excellent quality, appreciated far and wide.
