Discover the restaurant

Guests opting for half-board are served dinner after sunset in the same eating area: typical Sardinian dishes accompanied by local Alghero wines. Beginning with an appetizer of sausages, smoked ham, cheese, vegetables and oil, you’ll go on to the first courses, which include home-produced pastas cooked according to traditional recipes: ricotta ravioli or cheese sauce (the ricotta and cheese are made here), malloreddos (typical Sardinian gnocchi) with sheep or sausage sauce, tagliatelle with vegetables, or with pane frattau, a magnificently frugal dish consisting of Sardinian flat bread, tomato sauce, pecorino cheese and egg. The second course consists of traditional lamb with wild fennel or roast suckling pig, or roasted lamb with myrtle berry aromatic herbs, sheep and sauce, or the typical sheep-herder’s dish, sheep with potatoes and onions, accompanied by side dishes of season-fresh vegetables. The meal ends with sweets from the Barbagia region of Sardinia, country pies and sas sevadas, a round pastry with pecorino cheese filling (flavoured with grated lemon and orange rind), closed with durum wheat crust. All 100% made from scratch!. To finish off your meal, you’ll have our famous Gentiana-flavoured digestive.

The menu

It begins with tasty appetizers such as a selection of cold cuts and cheeses, vegetables. It continues with first courses, pastas still worked with artisanal methods and cooked according to traditional recipes: ricotta or cheese ravioli in sauce (ricotta and cheese are home-produced), malloreddos (typical Sardinian gnocchi) in mutton or sausage sauce, tagliatelle with vegetables, or pane frattau, a dish of biblical frugality based on carasau bread, tomato sauce, pecorino cheese and eggs. Then come the meat second courses, with traditional wild fennel lamb or roasted suckling pig, or lamb roasted and flavored with myrtle, sheep in sauce or the typical shepherds' dish, sheep with potatoes and onions, with a side of fresh seasonal vegetables; finishing with typical Barbaricine sweets, rustic pies and sas sevadas, a sweet usually circular in shape with a filling of pecorino cheese (flavored with grated lemon or orange zest), covered with a hard wheat semolina pastry: all strictly homemade. At the end of the meal, digestifs from plants of the Mediterranean scrub, also strictly homemade.
