Borgo Alveria is a place where past meets future, halfway between experience and experiment; a place for meditation, discovery and acquaintance. Borgo Alveria country resort arises on the site of an ancient monastery of the Orders of Friars Minor, built in the 1451 and razed to the ground by the great earthquake that destroyed ancient Noto in 1693. It is situated 700 m away from the 'Porta Aurea ' of Noto Antica and about 10 Km away from today 's city, and it is marked by the extraordinary beauty of the surrounding naturalistic, archaeological and historical landscape. The resort includes a long farmhouse hosting the restaurant and, beyond an old stone portal, some 18th century blocks renovated with a contemporary taste for hospitality. The façades have been completely restored bringing the original amber-coloured stone to light. Rooms, have been restored according to a contemporary comfort and taste, joining mode design furniture and Sicilian antiques. The resort offers a total of 12 rooms - both double and triple – as well as a relax area with breakfast and tea lounge, a solarium and a swimming pool. Several orchards, gardens and 19 hectares of land, partly grown and partly wild, allow to choose at all times between a relaxing reading in the shade of a carob tree and a long walk in the nature. - Classic Room: ideal for those wishing to stay in a simple and cozy ambience. Lava stone floors, mirrors in contrast with the stone walls and colourful accessories such as the silk cushions on the beds. - Superior Room: distinctive details such as the decor of the bathroom, with a large shower in a metal structure conceived by a local artist. The room offers a view on a garden of about 2000 square meters, surrounded by secular olive trees, land a glimpse of the pool. - Deluxe Room: large spaces and design details such as Kartell lamps and curtains of white linen. One of the two Deluxe has a Japanese tub with "waterfall " shower. Flowers and fruits welcome our guests.
