Podere Cunina is a Tuscan farmhouse at Cunina di Sopra, in the municipality of Buonconvento, run by the Freddi family: Silvana and Piergiorgio. Eight apartments, each named after a plant - Vitis, Salix, Taxus, Pinus, Morus, Ficus, Hedera, Myrtus - created from the restoration of the ancient building. From the property, the view stretches 360 degrees across the Crete Senesi. There is a swimming pool nestled among the clay waves of the Sienese landscape, with views of the sunsets in the evening.
The farm practices organic agriculture and manages energy through geothermal systems for heating and cooling, solar panels for hot water and photovoltaic panels for electricity. Electrical lines run underground, wastewater is treated through oxygenation and purification, garden water is recycled, and organic waste is managed on-site with separate collection. Those arriving in an electric car can recharge it under the covered canopy of solar panels. From here you can reach Val d'Orcia and the medieval villages of the Crete Senesi; the farm also organizes cooking classes.
