The structure was built shortly after the year 1000 in an area where ancient Etruscan and Roman settlements already existed. Not far from the agriturismo, Etruscan tombs and Roman houses have indeed been discovered. Over the centuries, the structure was enlarged repeatedly using stones from the surrounding areas and materials fired on-site (as evidenced by the discovery of an ancient kiln). Today, materials dating back to the 1500s and 1600s can still be found within the structure. The building took on its current appearance around 1700 when it was again enlarged and converted into an elementary school for children from the surrounding countryside. Since then, Bonello has played an important role in the life of the surrounding rural community. Today, guests can travel back in time. Every stone tells its story and that of the people who, day after day, century after century, have passed by.

Bonello is a farmhouse in Pienza (Siena)in the Tuscan countryside, overlooking the natural reserve of the Val d'Orcia. It’s a place a lot known for silence, calm and relax, inserted in nature with optimal panoramic sight of valley. For customers are available Wellness Center (SPA), Restaurant. Near bonello is possible to visit thermal and historical city Montepulciano, Pienza, Siena, Arezzo, Firenze and beautiful place like Bolsena and Trasimeno lac or Amiata Mount.
The location between Siena, Arezzo, Perugia and Florence, the proximity of important historical and artistic centres such as Pienza, Montepulciano, Montalcino, Chiusi and Medieval Abbeys as Saint Antimo, Monte Oliveto Maggiore, Abbadia San Salvatore make this place an excellent starting point to historical and cultural excursions The area is also famous for its spas: Bagno Vignoni, Bagni San Filippo, San Casciano dei Bagni, Rapolano Terme, Montepulciano and Chianciano Terme.

Recommends this property Ottimo ambiente innmerso nella natura, gestori affabili che consigliano luoghi da visitare con materiale informativo a disposizione. Colazioni favolose (torte e marmellate fatte in casa!) Ambiente tranquillo, massimo relax. Piscina pulita. Locazione strategica: è in mezzo a tutti i paesi limitrofi, facilmente raggiungibili. Sembra di stare lontano dai tempi moderni frenetici... in certi punti non c'è campo per internet (ma forse è meglio così!) Ottimo soggiorno!
