"Godenano di Mezzo is an ancient farm situated in the heart of the Castellina in Chianti countryside and that of Chianti Classico Senese, one of the most beautiful areas in the splendid Tuscan region. We are surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and oak woods but at the same time only a few minutes distance from the historical township of Castellina in Chianti. The farmhouse is itself situated on the antique stone terraces which for centuries have surrounded the town and on which grow our olive trees. Being a protected faunistic area set aside for the repopulation of wild animals, one is able to admire the wildlife typical of this territory especially at dusk, deer, wildboar, pheasant, hare and birdlife all live undisturbed on the property. Owned and run by our family, the property offers our guests a warm and welcome enviroment in which to enjoy typical tuscan hospitality and enjoy genuine produce such as our own extra virgin olive oil, grapes, fruit and vegetables in season all produced by ourselves.

All apartments are bright and have great views from the windows. They also have beamed ceilings and terracotta floors. They are independent, with private entrance, kitchen, fridge, microwave oven, dishwasher, hairdryer, linen, Wi-Fi and satellite TV. The Falco apartment is located on the first floor of the building. It has a kitchen, living room, hallway, two double bedrooms, one with bathroom and a second bathroom, all with shower. The Lavanda apartment is located on the east side of the structure. It has a kitchen, living room, private outdoor courtyard, a double bedroom, a storage area and a bathroom with shower. The Rosmarino apartment is located on the ground floor of the building. It has a kitchen, living room, private external courtyard, a double bedroom, a storage area and a bathroom with shower. Every apartment has a comfortable sofa bed for two extra sleeps. Heating not available from 1.4 to 15.10

The pool, of generous dimensions, 7x14 m., can offer you unforgettable afternoons, swimming or sunbathing, while admiring the valley below. Our countryside is an ideal place to enjoy nature, relax, take walks and trekking on the ancient Via Romea that crosses the property. Here it is possible to admire the beautiful panorama over the Val D'elsa, where you can see in the distance the hills of Monteriggioni, Colle Val D'elsa, Casole D'elsa and San Gimignano. The town of Castellina in Chianti is only 10 minutes walk away, where you can find everything necessary to make your holiday complete, shops, supermarkets, bars, pizzerias, restaurants and wine bars. Furthermore, at a short distance from Godenano di Mezzo there are some of the most renowned wine-producing companies in the area and of international fame, with the possibility of tasting their exclusive products.

Surroundings (Castellina in Chianti)

Just a few minutes from the village of Castellina in Chianti, Godenano Di Mezzo sits perfectly positioned between Siena (20 minutes away) and Florence (roughly 40 minutes). Around Castellina, you'll find some of Tuscany's most renowned wineries, where you can taste the region's finest wines, along with the timeless medieval villages of Chianti—including Radda in Chianti, Greve in Chianti, and other remarkable landmarks such as Monteriggioni Castle, Brolio Castle, Colle Val d'Elsa, San Gimignano, and Volterra. A little over an hour and a half's drive will take you to the Tuscan coast and the sea, as well as Pisa and Livorno, or heading the other way, you can explore Val d'Orcia, Montalcino, Montepulciano, and Pienza. Godenano Di Mezzo is the ideal base for discovering the beauty, traditions, and flavours of Tuscany—combining cultural exploration with moments to unwind and savour the peace of the countryside.
