He Codirosso estate is a young farm, nestled in a 100-hectare wood (entirely fenced) on top of the hills of the upper Val di Cecina. The owners, Emanuela and Giuseppe, are originally from Milan, but have lived several years abroad before arriving in this corner of paradise in Tuscany. He is a lawyer and she is a city councilor, they run the business with love and great passion. The accommodation The agriturismo has a suite with a kitchenette and three double rooms, cared for in every detail and heated throughout the year. The materials and furnishings used are all natural and the accommodations are equipped with every comfort, including Wi-Fi and satellite television. The restaurant The bio and eco-sustainable vocation of the company is also reflected in the catering: only products of own production or of the territory are used, thanks to a local body of producers and growers who make use of renewable and eco-sustainable energy for the production and processing processes of foods. For an ethical choice, the restaurant does not offer meat dishes. The restaurant is open to outsiders, by reservation, on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Activities and surroundings A unique detail of the agriturismo, together with the paths immersed in the woods and passable all year round, is the large swimming pool built in bio design, which offers the possibility to rest in total relaxation in a pristine place far from everything. The estate is also home to a wildlife recovery center and is home to about 120 animals (some wild, others from the courtyard), all recovered and protected within the forest. Between Follonica and Volterra, the farmhouse overlooks the sea: both from the rooms and from the restaurant it is possible to watch spectacular sunsets, with a panorama that ranges from Corsica to the island of Elba. The company's central position allows you to quickly reach both the beaches and all the main tourist destinations in Tuscany. Open all year upon reservation, the Codirosso Estate also organizes numerous events and courses.
