The settlement of Valuberti can be traced back to a period just before the 16th century, although traces of buildings from earlier times remain. In the tithes of 1570, a few dwellings and a 'Mulinaccio', no longer active, are recorded. Cadastral data dating back to 1648 show a settlement situation similar to that recorded in the 1823 Land Registry of the Grand Duchy of Tuscany, even if extension and reconstruction work was carried out later, as attested by some inscriptions on the buildings and on the small church that embellishes the Borgo, built in its present form in 1853. Borgo Valuberti is therefore a small rural hamlet, once inhabited by poor farmers and woodcutters, recently renovated with absolute respect for the original architecture and materials. The structure is an oasis of peace and relaxation immersed in the green woods of the Tuscan hills, divided into five independent flats, two of which are communicating. An ideal place for a peaceful and quiet stay, just a stone's throw from the most important cultural centres in the area: Perugia, Assisi, Spoleto, Gubbio, Siena, Arezzo, Florence, Cortona, Castiglion Fiorentino; mountain-bike excursions, artistic and cultural trips or simply contemplating the surrounding environment are the opportunities offered by this complex. The Borgo has a swimming pool and sauna, is furnished with extreme refinement and can also be rented as a single unit on request. The farmhouse offers the possibility, for those who wish to do so, of using the sauna that has been built near the swimming pool.
