Poggio al Vento 8 is located in the heart of the Val d'Orcia, immersed in nature and surrounded by vineyards and olive trees typical of the Tuscan countryside, on the edge of the Nature Reserve of Ripa d'Orcia. It consists of four apartments: l'Olmo, located in Podere Poggio al Vento 8; Il Mandorlo, La Quercia and Il Gelso located in Podere Capannacce.


If you want a holiday of rest and relaxation, and at the same time you want to explore the most beautiful and characteristic villages of the Val d'Orcia, our farm is the place for you! Situated in a prime location, 5 km from the village of San Quirico d'Orcia and the thermal pools of Bagno Vignoni, you can easily reach by car within 30 km all of the most scenic locations in the area, such as Pienza, Montalcino, Monticchiello , St. Antimo Abbey, Montepulciano, Abbey of Monte Oliveto, Monte Amiata, Radicofani.


The family-owned business will give you a warm welcome and friendliness. If you love nature and animals, venture and follow trails through fields and woods (even with the help of a companion) with the possibility of spotting wildlife typical of the area and their dens or nests, such as deer, hares, pheasants , foxes, buzzards, jays marine.


Our farm, which is 500 meters from Podere Capannacce, leads a sheep farm of about 300 adult cattle, and sheep milk to produce cheese. And it's possible to visit all year, and for the little ones, between the months of February to June there will also be a chance to see up close and pet the newbo lambs.
We also produce extra virgin olive oil from organic farming.
