The maremma near grosseto is the southe part of tuscany. It is two hours away from rome and from florence, in the center of peninsula. The rocca montorsoli farmhouse is located at istia d`ombrone, a small medieval town, just 7 km from grosseto and around 12 km from the sea. Rocca montorsoli is situated on the top of a hill overlooking the maremma plain, all the way to the sea, and the hills inland towards mount amiata - an enchanting view. Our wonderful, relaxing farm, which specialises in production of extravirgin olive oil, also produces fruit and vegetables, jams, conserves, sauces and pâtés, which may be tasted upon request. The house is an old stone structure dating from the 1800s and recently restored, with an adjacent pool available for use by guests, surrounding by a vast lawn which may also be used as a driving range. Montorsoli is recommended to those who love animals and for all cycling or walking enthusiasts, according to a project for the renovation of the coastal tourist trail, by the architect giancarlo tesei.
