Immersed in the green of the Apuan hills, between Massa and Forte dei Marmi, the Karma agriturismo is a must-stop for those seeking rest and tranquillity. The ancient stone house, with the Aghinolfi Castle (7th century) alongside, has been completely renovated according to bioarchitecture criteria and is perfectly integrated into the surrounding environment. From the farm one can enjoy a beautiful panorama ranging from the Apuan Alps to the sea. The cuisine, personally cared for by Carla Bruschi, is rich and varied. One can in fact taste typical dishes of Tuscan and Mediterranean cuisine, and upon request vegetarian dishes. The dishes that Carla prepares are based predominantly on the farm's organic produce, which guests can also purchase if they wish (oil, wine, jams, fruit and vegetables), and on typical local products (cured meats, meat and fish). Carla and Mauro, the owners of the farm, also give great importance to the convivial aspect, which constitutes, in addition to a moment of relaxation, also an opportunity for exchange on a human and cultural level. Summer evenings under the pergola or winter evenings by the warmth of the fireplace serve as the premise for introducing guests to New Age themes, of which they are devotees as well as practitioners. Immersed in lush and unspoiled nature, guests can rebalance body, mind and spirit through pranic healing, holistic, energetic and relaxing massages and shiatsu. Or relax the mind with appropriate techniques or rebalance the chakras. It is also possible to book an anti-stress weekend or a health week with detoxifying diets and herbal teas. Upon request, guests can also take courses in natural cooking, feng shui, meditation and relaxation techniques. In the surrounding area one can go walking on the paths of the Apuan Alps Park, take trips to the Garfagnana, visit the castles of the Lunigiana, and take trips to the Cinque Terre. Hospitality: all year round. How to get there: from the north: exit at the Massa toll booth on the A12. Follow signs for Massa centro. Take the SS Aurelia towards Pisa. Upon reaching the locality of Capanne (hamlet of Montignoso), turn left at the traffic light, continue keeping to the right for 1 km. Turn right at the 3rd bridge, towards Aghinolfi Castle, reach the entrance and take Via Guadagni immediately on the left. After approximately 150 m there is the entrance and from there a private road begins. From the south: exit at the Versilia toll booth on the A12 and take the SS Aurelia towards Massa. At the top of a short hill, at the traffic light for Montignoso turn right and follow the same directions.
