A beautiful stone farmhouse in the Lucciola Bella Nature Reserve, at the heart of the Orcia Valley, with unforgettable views stretching from Mount Cetona to Mount Amiata, taking in the typical hamlets of Monticchiello, Pienza, Radicofani and Castiglione d'Orcia. The 6 independent apartments are accessible via a cypress-lined white gravel road, one of architect Cecil Pinsent's most famous creations. The farm rears over 1000 sheep, fed on its own forage and cereals. Their milk is used to produce the outstanding pecorino di Pienza cheese, available for purchase from the “Caseificio Val d’Orcia' dairy, in the little town of Contignano, just 9 km from the agriturismo. The 6 guest apartments have been renovated with respect for the original features of the traditional farmhouse, with meticulous attention to detail and a focus on comfort. The property is surrounded by a large lavender garden, which attracts butterflies in summer. You can relax in the shade of the towering oak tree, use the BBQ for delicious outdoor dining, explore by bicycle or stroll along the reserve's pathways. The agriturismo's strength certainly lies in its stunning scenic location and the unique landscape in which it stands, characterised by the presence of gullies and 'biancane', erosive forms home to important and exclusive plants and birds. Lucciola Bella's central location ensures easy access to the pretty hamlets of the Orcia Valley, Pienza (18 km), Monticchiello (18 km), San Quirico d’Orcia (20 km), Bagno Vignoni (18 km), Montalcino (34 km), Castiglione d’Orcia (23 km) and Radicofani (23 km). The ski slopes of Mount Amiata are just 38 km away. Bagni San Filippo (17 km), Bagno Vignoni (18 km), San Casciano dei Bagni (34 km) and Chianciano Terme (9 km) all offer wonderful spa centres. You'll find a riding centre 6 km away, and the nearest public swimming pool is in Chianciano Terme (9 km).
